The study outlines the problem of statistical recording of insolvency practice in the Czech Republic; it deems it as being inadequate and finds that it provides only sparse testimony on real events. Furthermore, it describes the method of collecting samples of statistical data on the course of insolvency proceedings that took place in the Czech Republic during 2012 and 2013. It also contains processing of data gained and the interpretation thereof, with conclusions as to the real efficiency of insolvency processes in the given area.
